In 1984 Lynn & Delvin decided to try and bring a new style of cooking to Dallas County.
We hoped to incorporate the best of our California upbringing with our Ozark roots.
We added our style of Cal-Mex cooking to the menu, along with many West Coast trends, while at the same time, retaining the comfort foods that we grew up eating.
Over the years we have continued to experiment and grow.
About 15 years ago we decided to add BBQ to our menu and built our own BBQ pit.
Delvin uses native hickory to smoke with, and it is served with our own special Sweet BBQ sauce. Our Ribs are St. Louis style and are slow smoked all day. They are then finished on the char-broiler with our Jack Black sauce. We also offer, brisket, ham, turkey, pulled pork and half chicken.
In 2002, Lynn at the request of one their customers entered the Ozarks Taste of Elegance Contest, sponsored by the Missouri Pork Association. Delvin smoked the pork and Lynn Developed the Jack Apple Sauce and won the People’s Choice Award. Every once in a while it will show up on their Features menu, so keep an eye out for it.
Over the past several years we have added several signature pasta dishes to the menu, that we believe are outstanding, such as the Bourbon Street Pasta or the Key West Pasta—give them a try.
We have several varieties of steaks. Our Rib Eyes and K.C. Strips are hand cut and char-broiled and served a variety of ways. The most popular are served jack black style or West Texas Style; be sure and ask about them.
